About Us

		This provincial historic site is a plant collector's garden of mature native and introduced flowers and trees. This quiet site offers guided tours through the garden and 1920's log home, a short nature trail, picnic area, bird watching, historical and natural history displays. Weddings, photography sessions and tours welcome. Fifty minutes west of Edmonton on Highway 43. June: open Monday – Friday, 10am-5pm July & August: open daily, 10am-5pm Open by appointment any other time Admission by Donation

Mother's Day May 12 & 13

Rural Rendezvous with Mom at George Pegg Garden,

10am-5pm

Saturday, May 12 & Sunday, May 13.

Take a walk through the Garden to see the exquisite spring flowers!  We are kicking off the gardening season with crafts, a pollinator project, horticulture hints, and plants.

Our September Harvest Festival is all about squashes- so, we’ll have an interesting selection of squash transplants for sale.  

If you are going to have a crop of squashes you need insects to pollinate them. Stop by the craft table and make a bee block- a little house for these important pollinators. Make one for the garden and make one to take home.  For the craft-loving children; make a special heart shaped wreath just for Mom.  

The Horticulture Hot-topic is Water-Wise gardening. Are we headed for a dry growing season? Have a look around the Garden to see a variety of ways you can capture rain, improve your soil, and irrigate your garden.

Plan to relax and stay awhile. On Saturday bring a picnic lunch and enjoy a yogurt fruit cup.  Join the crowd on Sunday for our delicious pancake brunch from 11am-1pm, served up by our “celebrity” chefs.
