About Us

“We are all about HERBS, FLOWERS, FOOD, AND FUN." We invite you to visit Inspired Market Gardens - an award-winning country-culinary-growing learning place with a specialty greenhouse, lovely gardens and a quaint country store.
		We raise all-natural culinary Herb plants, fresh-cut herbs, edible flowers, heritage cut flowers, as well as heirloom tomato and gourmet vegetable plants. We have 1000’s of herb plants - over 100 varieties of herbs – culinary, craft and medicinal. In fact we believe we have more varieties of herbs in one location than any other in northern Alberta. We have 6-packs of herbs for instant containers. We have over 15 different varieties of HEIRLOOM tomatoes – from currant-sized to huge - from pale yellow to green striped to purple and black (and every size & colour in-between)! We have over 15 different varieties of hot and sweet peppers from mild and sweet bell & long peppers to jalapenos & firecrackers! We have Cucumber Plants & Cape Gooseberry plants. We have beautiful hanging nasturtium baskets. We have lettuce salad bowls and ‘Git Yer Greens’ instant salad containers in Spicy and Mild editions. In summer and fall we have beautiful cut flowers – gorgeous heritage blooms for you everyday table, and for special events.
In our country store we sell only all-Natural all-Canadian-made products. We have an uncommon selection of gourmet foods and treats, condiments and spices, healing herbal oils and creams, artisan teas, bath and personal beauty products, fabulous scents, books, cards, linens and so much more… We host special events throughout the season such as herbal workshops and tea for Moms in May, Herb & Flowers Summer Fields in July, and on August 15 the ‘World Basset Races!’. We also co-partner with a number of other farmers and organizations to provide unique culinary events (such as a wine, flower and honey tasting). Please see ‘More Details’ for all of our events… IMG has teamed up with Forget-Me-Not Greenhouse & offers Speed Learn & Grow workshops in early spring and in the fall. We also sell at the City Centre Farmer’s Market in Edmonton on 104th St. and Jasper Avenue (Saturdays 9-3).

It’s HERB & FLOWER SUMMER FIELD DAYS at Inspired Market Gardens on the 10 & 11th July!

We are open both days - "Field & Flowers Day" with garden tours, children activities and a bee specialist on Sunday...Giant SALE in the greenhouse

Come & tour the gardens and greenhouse and learn about sustainable/permaculture/organic gardening methods; discuss with us how to build a Quadruple-B friendly garden (Bees, Beneficial Insects, Butterflies and Birds).

On Sunday we are having a bee specialist coming to give a talk on bee keeping and creating pollinator gardens. Let the kids run around and do a treasure hunt (with prizes) or run the straw bale maze. Sample herbal teas, browse the all-natural all-Canadian products in our unique store, and simply enjoy the countryside. And to top it all we are having a GIANT SALE in the greenhouse and store – all 3-3.5” potted plants are only a loonie or toonie plus 30% off everything in our store!! 10am-5pm both days.

We are an all-natural grower practicing Sustainable Agriculture:

We are ‘sunlight harvesters’ - our primary production (herbs, flowers, greens), is based on the conversion of sunlight energy into food. As gardeners and market farmers our first principle is ‘feed the soil and let the soil feed the plant’.

Inspired Market Gardens tries to grow everything in full accord to nature, in an environmentally friendly way. We do not use chemical pesticides or herbicides of any kind, and use only certified organic fertilizer or composted manure.
