Rural Rendezvous is thrilled to bring you another exciting season of rural experiences. 2007 was the first year for northern Alberta’s most unique country driving tour - the "Rural Rendezvous." Twelve (12) unique rural tourism operators are pleased to share their rural experiences with you throughout the 2010 season!

Happy Mother's Day!! Come on out to Beyond the Blue Sky and we will help you celebrate Mother's Day with a free potted posy. We have many new items In the store that would make perfect gifts for all the special people in your life. Country Bathroom in your house? Check out our new Towels and Shower Curtains - an easy make over that is sure to please. Mention this web site message to Theresa and receive an “Extra Sweet Treat.” (Code words for a gift). - Carvel General Store:
We will be introducing the Carvel Stopping House to visitors. From a picture window, viewers will be able to enjoy our rendition of a pioneer kitchen. There will be a story board to give the history of the building and its significance to the community.
- Ever After Antiques & Collectibles:
Enjoy our Mother's Day "3-fer-2" Sales. You and your Mom can each buy a piece of vintage jewelry and get a third one (of equal or lesser value) for FREE. The same applies to our wonderful selection of anitique and vintage books.
- George Pegg Botanic Garden:
Saturday, May 8th and Sunday, May 9th. 10 am - 5 pm. This is the perfect weekend to take Mom out to the country. Catch a glimpse of the spring flowers blooming.
We have an interesting selection of heritage tomato plants and out of the ordinary seed potatoes for sale. Our Horticulture Hot Topic is: All About Potatoes: From familiar to funky, find out what cultivars grow well in our gardens.
We are family-friendly and children are welcome. Make a sweet bouquet of “flowers” for Mom. Take home some bean seeds and find out about the Plant a Row-Grow a Row program for the Food Bank.
Sunday's pancake brunch is always popular. The grill is on 11am - 1pm. We are delighted to welcome local singer/songwriter Peggy Donnelly.
Have a little fun with our door prize challenge and have a chance to win a hanging basket.

- Forget-Me-Not Greenhouse:
All Mothers are invited to bring up to 4 hanging baskets or planters and we will supply the soil and the space to grow your containers for two weeks. You can pick them up just before the long weekend of May 24th. Browse through the greenhouses and purchase the annuals of your choice, then with staff help, plant them up and make the mess in our house. Registration required by phoning 780-963-8162.
